Chapter 12 Bankruptcy
Chapter 12 Bankruptcy – Reorganization for Family Farmers
Chapter 12 was enacted to give family farmers or fishermen facing bankruptcy the chance to reorganize their finances in order to keep their farms. Available to both individuals and corporations, Chapter 12 is a less complicated process than Chapter 11 or 13 and is only available to those farmers with a “regular annual income.” Chapter 12 also includes farmers and fisherman whose income is seasonal in nature.
Our bankruptcy attorneys will help determine if you qualify for Chapter 12 by reviewing your total debts, your gross income and the details of your farming operation.
