Horia R. Neagos

Attorney

Horia devotes his practice to providing litigation services.  Prior to joining Parmenter O’Toole, Horia spent 5 years in the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office where he successfully tried to verdict over fifty cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital life felonies. While in the prosecutor’s office, due to the volume of cases, Horia’s negotiation and bargaining skills sharpened accordingly. The experience accumulated in the Detroit office gives Horia a distinct advantage over a vast majority of trial attorneys and brings an added piece of mind for clients whose matters are litigated.

Horia received his law degree with honors from Michigan State College of Law. While at MSU, he was involved in a number of activities and worked in the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office Major Drug Unit as a student attorney.  He was involved in the criminal law society, sports and entertainment law society, trial advocacy society, as well as being selected as one of 30 students for the exclusive Fieger Trial Practice Institute.  While in the Fieger Trial Practice Institute, he was also awarded the prestigious Walter E. Oberor Scholarship.

Prior to law school, Horia completed his undergraduate degree in Social Sciences at Spring Arbor University where he was an All American tennis player and All Region/ All Conference performer while starting every game for four years on the soccer team. He is returning to the Muskegon area as a graduate of Mona Shores High School, where he participated in soccer, football, basketball, tennis, National Honors Society, Spanish Club and the French Club.

In his free time, Horia enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports and spending time with family and friends.  He is an avid Michigan State and Detroit Tigers fan, as well as a “fanatic” for Steaua Bucharest, his favorite soccer team he grew up rooting for with his father.
